We’re a community that encourages, inspires and empowers each other to freely express what is alive in us.
As you’ve probably experienced, it’s not always easy to let go of fear of judgment and put yourself out there for the world to see. But that’s what DanceFight is all about – moving past fear, not taking ourselves too seriously, connecting with people and having A LOT OF FUN in the process!
For all of this to happen, we need to build a community that fosters respect, inspiration, growth and creativity. We need to create as safe a space as possible for EVERYONE, a space where we celebrate and honor our differences while recognizing we’re all humans and we’re all in this together!
That’s where our Community Agreements come into play. They act as our guidelines to ensure a safe, welcoming and inclusive experience for all.
The safety, peace of mind, and well-being of our community members is our top priority. Not following our Community Agreements or violating them in any will result in the cancellation of your account and/or removal of content without notice.
In addition to our Community Agreements, we require that you follow all local, national and international laws and we reserve the right to report content to the proper authorities, as permitted by applicable law. In order to create a positive, safe, inclusive and fun environment, the following actions are absolutely not allowed on DanceFight:
PLEASE DON’T post, share, or send any content that depicts dangerous acts, self-harm, or suicide, nor provide any content that encourages other people to engage in such activities. If you or someone you know, is contemplating suicide or engaging in self-harm, please reach out for support to someone you know or contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or chat with them by visiting https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org.
PLEASE DON’T intimidate, bully or threaten other people, and don’t encourage other users to do so. This includes posting or sharing content that may trigger bullying, hostility and/or violence like trolling or provocative comments. This will absolutely not be allowed and certain cases/actions will be reported to the proper authorities.
Hate speech and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated, period. DO NOT post or share anything that can be perceived by anyone as discrimination or hate speech including content that promotes, encourages, advocates for, or condones racism, bigotry, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, disability, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Please let us know right away about any content that falls under the above description at community@dancefightapp.com.
PLEASE DON’T post content that includes nudity or sexual activity.
PLEASE DON’T post content that contains, promotes, or encourages sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or sexual violence including sexually explicit content featuring minors or content that sexually exploits minors. We will remove content containing nudity, sexually suggestive acts, or unintentionally provocative content involving minors, as such videos could be used by others in unanticipated ways. If you see any content that you are concerned about, please contact us right away at community@dancefightapp.com.
PLEASE DON’T provide content related to prostitution, solicitation, or any other types of sex trade.
PLEASE DON’T post, share, or send any violent, graphic, shocking, illicit or sensational content.
PLEASE DON’T use DanceFight for criminal activity or to promote criminal activity including drug use and/or underage drinking.
PLEASE DON’T use DanceFight to support, facilitate or promote gambling.
PLEASE DON’T disclose others’ personal information, such as location, phone number, email address, ID number, and credit card information.
PLEASE DON’T share content that violates another’s reasonable expectation of privacy, for example filming in a private property/space, without express permission.
PLEASE DON’T impersonate another person or organization by creating fake identities, confuse others into believing that your relationship with another person or organization is something it is not, or post misleading content.
PLEASE DON’T post, share, or send any content that violates someone else’s copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
PLEASE DO use this as a platform to push your boundaries of comfort. Try new things and encourage your friends and community to do the same!
PLEASE DO explore your creativity! We want to see things we’ve never seen before! Make us laugh, make us cry, make us ask questions…bring your full self and be willing to share with the DanceFight community!
PLEASE DO speak up!! We are so excited to connect and engage with so many unique voices. Your thoughts, ideas, and opinions matter to us. We want to see you be yourself like nobody else could!
PLEASE DO lead by example! Follow the golden rule and treat others as you would like to be treated, understand creating community culture ultimately falls upon the individual participants. We at DanceFight are depending on you to make this a safe and uplifting space.
PLEASE DO provide feedback! We’re committed to creating a platform that is user friendly, providing the best end user experience possible. We want to know what we’re doing right and how we can improve. We happily embrace your constructive criticism.
PLEASE DO assume positive intent. We take our community guidelines very seriously and will not hesitate to deliver consequences for actions that are in violation, but when communicating with each other assume positive intent until proven otherwise. This can be a space for learning and growth if we allow it to be.
PLEASE DO speak up when you see something in violation of community standards. Please let us know right away about any harmful or inappropriate content at community@dancefightapp.com. We aim to take swift and decisive action against accounts disrespecting you or others on the platform.
PLEASE DO have fun!! This is about celebration and creative release! Don’t take it so seriously, we want to see your wild and silly side!
